Decorate your holiday table with this incredibly delicious ham in a mouth-watering, sticky glaze. It's the glaze that imbues store-bought ham with a flavor your guests will long remember. Ree Drummond makes it with brown sugar and orange juice, adding mustard, paprika, chili, and cinnamon. To keep the ham from drying out during baking and to ensure it stays juicy, she adds a little water to the bottom of the pan.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Let the ham sit at room temperature for 1 hour before baking. This will ensure even heating.
- Preheat oven to 160°C.
- Prepare the glaze:
In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, cinnamon, paprika, chili powder, orange zest and juice, garlic, and some salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. - Place a rack in a baking dish. Place the ham on the rack, cut side down (with the spiral cuts overlapping each other). Brush half the glaze over the surface of the ham, making sure it falls into the cuts.
- Pour about 2 cm of water into the bottom of a baking dish; the water should not touch the ham. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 10 minutes per 0.5 kg of weight (from 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes).
- Remove the ham from the oven and remove the foil. Increase the oven temperature to 190°C (375°F). Brush the ham with half of the remaining glaze. Once the oven is preheated, return the ham, uncovered, and bake for 15 minutes. Brush the ham with the remaining glaze and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Carefully transfer the ham to a platter. Serve immediately or cover with foil to keep warm.
