Carrots, celery, and onions are drizzled with butter, sugar, and lemon sauce to give the vegetables a natural glaze shine.

Ingredients:

  • 4 carrots, cut into small pieces diagonally
  • 4 stalks celery, cut into small pieces diagonally
  • 1.5 cups frozen onion sets
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Bring salted water to a boil, add carrots and celery, and cook for 5 minutes. Add onion sets, cook for another minute, then drain.
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, combine sugar, butter and lemon juice in a shallow frying pan and cook until the liquid has evaporated.

    Add the vegetables and fry briefly until the surface is glazed. Season the dish with salt and pepper.
