This luxurious quiche is filled with all the ingredients and flavors of a classic chicken cordon bleu. Shredded chicken, ham, and Swiss cheese are nestled in a rich egg custard on a crumbly crust that sets deliciously when baked. A touch of Dijon mustard adds a touch of tartness that's so essential to the hearty filling. This quiche is perfect for both breakfast and dinner. Serve with a light, juicy arugula and cucumber salad.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
  • 3 slices Black Forest ham, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 frozen quiche base, 22cm in diameter.
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced ​​(white part separated from green part)
  • 3 slices Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup low-fat cream (10%)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 cups tightly packed small arugula (about 100 g)
  • 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place a rimmed baking sheet on the middle rack of the oven; preheat to 425°F (220°C). Spread mustard on the bottom of the crust. Then layer the chicken, ham, green onions (white part), and cheese. In a small bowl, combine the cream, eggs, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper; pour in the filling. Gently toss to ensure the filling is coated with the liquid; sprinkle with green onions.
  2. Carefully place the quiche pan on a hot baking sheet. Bake until the filling is set, about 30 minutes.

  3. When the quiche is almost done, thinly slice the cucumber and toss with the arugula, vinegar, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Serve the quiche with a salad.
