Pork rinds, or chicharrones, are a popular snack throughout Latin America, and this recipe combines them with corn nuts, peanuts, tortilla chips, and traditional Mexican spices to create a delicious, savory beer pairing.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 7 cups pork rind cracklings, broken into bite-sized pieces (about 90g)
  • 6 cups lime-flavored tortilla chips, broken into bite-sized pieces (about 6 oz.)
  • 1.5 tbsp. corn nuts
  • 1.5 cups honey-glazed peanuts
  • 2 limes (zest 2, juice 1)
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Combine pork rinds, tortilla chips, corn nuts, and peanuts in a large bowl. In another bowl, combine lime zest and juice, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pour the sauce over the snack mixture and toss to coat well.

  3. Place on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until the mixture is golden brown and almost completely dry, about 10 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool completely. Store in a tightly sealed container for up to 3 days..
