As practice shows, the best way to grill asparagus is to place it directly on the grill grate at an angle. No foil wrap or grill basket required! Top the grilled asparagus with crumbled, tart feta and fresh mint. To ensure a beautiful grilling, be sure to use medium-thick stalks. Thin ones won't work.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 bunch medium asparagus (about 350 g)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 1/4 cup)
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, finely grated
  • 2 tbsp crumbled feta
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh mint leaves

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Trim the tough ends of the asparagus (about 2 cm) and peel another 2 cm of skin off the stalks.
  2. In a large bowl, combine lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Add the asparagus and toss to coat well.

  3. Place the asparagus on the grill grate at an angle to prevent the spears from falling through. Grill, turning halfway through, until the asparagus begins to brown, the pointed ends are crisp, and the spears are tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a platter and top with feta and mint.
