Even an appetizer like hot dogs can be eaten without harming your figure if you follow a few guidelines, as in this recipe. Low-fat hot dogs are wrapped in low-fat puff pastry, and the appetizers themselves are so tiny that a couple won't hurt you at a party.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 8 low-calorie beef sausages
  • 1 package chilled reduced-fat yeast puff pastry
  • Flour for work
  • Mustard for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.
  2. Cut each sausage into 4 equal pieces. Set aside. Place eight triangles of dough on a lightly floured work surface.

  3. One at a time, slightly stretch or roll each triangle to make it larger. Cut each piece of dough into 4 long, narrow triangles. Place a piece of sausage at the base of each triangle, rolling each piece to a pointed tip. Place the sausages on a large, ungreased baking sheet.
  4. Assemble the remaining sausages in the dough in the same manner to make 32. Be sure to distribute them evenly on the baking sheet, as the dough will rise during baking. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes. Serve with mustard and enjoy!
