The soup has a creamy consistency, rich flavor, and is quite filling. The highlight of the dish is the chipotle. Its presence gradually makes itself felt, unexpectedly turning the bisque into a source of vibrant flavors. At the same time, the soup's spiciness is moderate. The ginger, garlic, and pepper can give the dish a Thai-inspired feel. It's also worth noting that the soup's appetizing orange color, as well as that of the sweet potato itself, comes from the beneficial compound beta-carotene.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced (about 900g)
- 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 sweet Vidalia onion, finely chopped
- A 1 cm piece of ginger root, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 smoked jalapeño (chipotle) pepper, marinated in adobo
- 4 tbsp. chicken broth
- 1.25 cups unfiltered apple juice without added sugar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- Sour cream, for garnish (optional)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Add the butter to a large soup pot over medium heat. When the butter is melted and foaming, add the garlic, onion, and ginger and sauté until softened and fragrant, 3–4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chipotle pepper and sauté for another minute, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
- Pour in the chicken broth, apple juice, and sweet potatoes. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sweet potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
- Puree the soup with an immersion blender until smooth and velvety. Finally, stir in the heavy cream. If using sour cream, spoon it over each bowl of soup.
