To make classic cereal bars at home, you'll need breakfast cereal and marshmallows, which melt with butter to create a sweet, sticky mass that holds the cereal together. The highlight of these bars are the chocolate chips, which make the dessert even more delicious and appealing.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 package (280 g) marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 cups rice flakes (breakfast cereal)
  • 3/4 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate mini granules

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with foil, leaving a 1-inch overhang on each side for unmold; lightly spray the foil with cooking spray.
  2. Place the marshmallows and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Add the cereal and continue stirring until well coated. Stir in the chocolate chips.

  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Press the mixture firmly with your hands (spray your hands with cooking spray to prevent sticking). Set the dessert aside to cool. Pull the foil tabs to remove the dessert from the pan and cut into bars.
