Sweet potatoes are sliced and baked in the oven until crispy on the outside and tender, almost creamy, on the inside. This is all thanks to the butter and chicken broth, which are added toward the end of the baking process. Garlic, sage, and thyme infuse the sweet potatoes with a wonderful aroma. Drizzle with honey and serve as a side dish with meat or poultry. A wonderful holiday alternative to potatoes.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

- 1 kg sweet potato, cut into 2.5 cm thick circles.
- 60 g unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 2 tsp chopped fresh sage
- 2 tsp chopped fresh thyme
- 1.5 cups lightly salted chicken broth
- Honey to drizzle

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 245°C.
- Place the butter, sage, and thyme in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals until the butter is melted, about 1 minute. Add the sweet potato, 1.5 teaspoons of salt, and season generously with pepper. Toss to combine.
- Place the sweet potatoes in a 9x13-inch metal baking dish and spread them out in a single layer (a glass dish won't work at this temperature). Bake until the bottom is golden brown, about 15 minutes. Flip and continue baking until the other side is nicely golden brown, another 15 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and continue baking until the potatoes are tender and the liquid has almost completely evaporated, about 15 more minutes. Transfer the sweet potatoes to a serving platter, season with salt, and drizzle with honey.
