When baked in the oven, the sharp flavor of garlic becomes much softer and more appetizing. The cloves also become tender and golden, easily squeezed from the skins, and your kitchen is filled with a fabulous aroma. Roasted garlic can be used anywhere. Simply spread it on a slice of toasted bread and sprinkle with coarse salt for a delicious appetizer. You can also add it to sauces, soups, dressings and dips, stews, meat dishes, and main courses to add a more savory and rich flavor.

  • 2 heads of garlic


Preheat oven to 200°C.

Cut the top off each head of garlic to expose the cloves. Place the heads on a piece of foil. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Bake until the garlic is tender and golden, about 30 minutes.
