Sweet sweet potatoes combined with the fragrant Moroccan seasoning ras el hanout make a wonderful Eastern-inspired side dish. Smash them while baking to crisp up the edges. Serve drizzled with a refreshing yogurt sauce.


Ingredients:

  • 3 sweet potatoes
  • 1 tbsp ras el hanout
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp lemon zest
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Toss 3 sweet potatoes (sliced ​​into 2.5 cm thick rounds) on a baking sheet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of ras el hanout. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Mash the sweet potatoes and continue baking at 500°F (275°C) until crisp, 25-30 minutes. Drizzle with 1/4 cup plain yogurt mixed with 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice and zest, and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
