Almost no snack trail mix is complete without crunchy nuts, but if you have a nut allergy but crave a crunch, you can find a great substitute. For example, this trail mix uses roasted Japanese green peas, which complement bagel croutons, mini pretzels, and rice cereal perfectly. Infuse your trail mix with the delicious flavor of ranch dressing by tossing it with buttermilk powder, dried herbs, lime zest, and other spices. Everything cooks up quickly in the microwave.
