A collection of 50 sandwich recipes, cold or hot, with chicken, sausage, bacon, ham, vegetables, cheese, peanut butter, strawberries and many other fillings.

1. Steak with blue cheeseMix 1 tbsp mayonnaise with 1 tsp. steak sauce; add 1/2 cup diced cooked ground beef, 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce, 1/4 diced avocado, 1/4 cup chopped tomato, 1 to 2 tablespoons blue cheese, 1 slice crispy bacon seasoned with salt and pepper. Wrap the filling in a large flat wheat tortilla.

3. Corned Beef with Horseradish and ColeslawCombine 1/2 cup shredded cabbage with 1 tablespoon sour cream, 2 teaspoons each horseradish and water, 1 teaspoon grainy mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Place sliced corned beef and coleslaw between 2 slices. rye bread.
4. Roasted beef and smoked Gouda cheese. Spread honey mustard For 2 slices of challah bread, place sliced roast beef, sliced smoked cheese, and romaine lettuce between the two slices of bread.

6. Italian sandwichCombine 3 tablespoons olive oil with 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar, 1 grated garlic clove, and 1/2 teaspoon each Italian herbs and sugar. Drizzle all but 1 tablespoon of the dressing over the sandwiches. Top with shredded romaine and mozzarella, sauce, pepperoni, salami, prosciutto, and pickled peppers; drizzle with the remaining dressing.
7. Italian triple sandwich with tomato, bacon and lettuceFry 4 thin slices of pancetta in a skillet over medium-high heat until crisp, about 5 minutes. Mix 2 tablespoons mayonnaise with 1 tablespoon chopped basil; spread the mixture on 2 slices of country bread. Sandwich the pancetta, arugula, and sliced tomato between the bread slices.

9. Tomatoes and Mozzarella with Pesto SauceCombine 1/3 cup each cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls, 1/4 cup chopped red pepper, 2 teaspoons minced shallots, 2 tablespoons olive oil, and 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar; let sit 15 minutes. Stir in 1 tablespoon chopped basil. Trim off one-third of the top. buns and remove some of the crumb, leaving a border around the edges; spread the pesto on top. Fill with the tomato mixture and place the cut-off portion on top.
10. Grilled Eggplant with a Slice of MozzarellaCut 1 small eggplant into bite-size pieces and toss with olive oil and salt. Grill over medium heat for 5 minutes per side. Let cool. Toss with 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar and 1/2 tablespoon each capers and raisins; season with salt and red pepper flakes and let marinate for 1 hour. Halve ciabatta and brush the inside with olive oil; top with the eggplant, sliced mozzarella, and basil.
11. Vegetarian sandwich with pimento peppers and cheeseMix 1/2 cup of grated cheddar with 2 tablespoons of cream cheese and diced pimento pepper, with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, the same amount of chopped onion and parsley and hot sauce on the tip of a knife. Toss in 1/4 cup diced hot bell pepper, equal amounts of cucumber, and celery. Divide the salad among 2 slices of sourdough bread. Top with romaine lettuce.
12. Chickpeas with turmericCombine one can (450 g) of chickpeas (drained) in a food processor with 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon mustard, 1 clove garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric; season with salt and pepper. Spread the paste on 8 slices of multigrain bread. Sandwich lettuce, tomato, and red onion between the bread slices.
13. Curried Cauliflower. Separate 1/2 cauliflower into small florets; toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and curry powder. Bake at 450°F (230°C) until browned, about 25 minutes, sprinkling with 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella during the last 2 minutes. Let cool. Spread mango chutney For 4 slices of white bread, place cauliflower and cilantro between the slices of bread.
14. Fried carrots with goat cheeseToss 1 1/2 cups thinly sliced carrots with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon za'atar; bake at 450°F (230°C) until tender, 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool. Puree 2 ounces (60 g) goat cheese, 1/4 cup chopped green olives, and 3 tablespoons chopped parsley; spread on 2 slices multigrain bread. Top with carrots, drizzle with honey, and top with another slice of bread.

16. Omelet with zucchiniSauté 1/4 cup shredded zucchini and sliced onion in olive oil in a small skillet until tender, 4 to 5 minutes; season with salt and pepper. Add 1 lightly beaten egg and cook, turning once, until set, about 2 minutes, then fold in half. Place the omelet on a slice of Italian bread, then top with sliced tomatoes, ricotta, basil, and a drizzle of red wine vinegar and olive oil.

Spread hummus on 1 slice of oatmeal bread and mashed avocado on another slice. Layer the turkey, red onion, and tomatoes between the slices of bread.
38. Turkey Cheddar BagelMix 2 tablespoons mayonnaise with 1 tablespoon mustard and 1 grated garlic clove. Spread on a split bagel. Top with roasted turkey, sliced cheddar, shredded iceberg lettuce, and sliced pickles.
39. Chicken with Black BeansCombine 1/2 cup chopped fried chicken, 1/4 cup canned black beans, 1/4 cup chopped mango, and 2 tablespoons each salsa and cilantro; season with salt. Wrap in a flour tortilla.
