Shrimp marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, ginger, lime juice, and garlic, then grilled, are incredibly delicious. Large king prawns are best for this recipe. Just 20 minutes of marinating is enough to infuse them with flavor. Serve as an appetizer with alcoholic drinks.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 900 g large shrimp, unpeeled
  • 2 large shallots, peeled and diced
  • 5 cm ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce (gluten-free)
  • 0.5 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Combine the shallots, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, lime juice, and sugar in a blender and blend until smooth. Add the green onions and oil and blend until smooth. Season with black pepper to taste.
  2. Place the shrimp in a large bowl, pour the marinade over them and let them marinate at room temperature for 20 minutes.

  3. Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and grill for 1.5-2 minutes per side. Serve in paper bags, if desired.
