London broil steak is a rather tough cut from the steer thigh, but when cooked and served correctly, it will literally melt in your mouth. Marinate the meat in tequila and spices, preferably overnight. Grill over medium heat, then slice very thinly across the grain to serve.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil, optional
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1.5 kg London Broil steak
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Combine all ingredients except the meat in a blender. Blend until smooth. Place the steak in a non-reactive container and pour the marinade over it, turning to coat. Refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours.
  2. Preheat grill to high heat.

  3. Place the steak on a hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, turning it over 4 times (cooking time depends on the thickness of the steak).
  4. Let the steak rest for at least 10 minutes. Then slice it diagonally into wide, thin slices. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
