This dish is perfect for a simple, warming, and filling lunch or dinner. The barbecue seasonings ensure the flavor won't be bland. For a softer consistency, it might be a good idea to soak the beans overnight in water before cooking. Serve with cornbread, for example.

Recipes with similar ingredients: bouillon, tomato paste, brown sugar, syrup, honey mustard, barbecue seasoning, garlic, white beans, carnation, onions, kupaty (fried sausages), apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili pepper, shallots, sour cream
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a slow cooker, whisk together the broth, 3 cups water, tomato paste, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, barbecue seasoning mix, and garlic. Add the beans. Insert a clove into each onion halves, then place them in the slow cooker along with the sausages. Make sure they are covered with beans. Cover and cook on high until the beans are tender, about 6 hours.
- Remove the onion halves. Stir in the vinegar and Worcestershire sauce, then let the mixture sit, uncovered, for about 15 minutes. (The longer the beans sit, the more flavorful they will be.) Garnish with pickled peppers, shallots, and/or sour cream, if desired.
