Make a thick, creamy dip infused with the delicious flavor of caramelized onions. To develop their distinctive sweet and spicy flavor, sauté the onions in a mixture of butter and olive oil with a little brown sugar. Cook for a few minutes, but don't let them burn, allowing them to gradually darken to a caramelized hue. A splash of red wine vinegar and hot sauce will enhance the flavor even further. Once the caramelized onions are ready, toss them with cream cheese, and you're ready to eat! Serve with crackers or chips for scooping and eating.
