This foolproof dipping sauce is bursting with bacon flavor. Fried bacon bits and rendered bacon fat are added to the cream cheese and cheddar mixture. Fresh jalapeño peppers complement the bacon perfectly with their mild spiciness. Bake the dip in the oven to crisp up the top, and serve piping hot, garnished with dipping snacks like crackers, chips, toasted baguette slices, or vegetables.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.

1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 4 thick slices bacon, cut into pieces
  • 220 g of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cups grated cheddar
  • 0.5 cup sour cream

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon, stirring occasionally, until crisp, about 8 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the rendered fat.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar, sour cream, milk, vinegar, jalapeño, bacon, and reserved rendered fat. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with green onions before serving.
