This recipe lets you quickly cook salmon fillets with a variety of toppings, creating a fresh dish every time. The easiest option is to brush the fish with honey and sprinkle with black pepper and lemon zest. Want to go further? Top with spicy Sriracha sauce, pesto, barbecue sauce, or simply sprinkle with a poppy seed and sesame mixture. You can cook it in the oven or on the grill.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Brush the fleshy side of each salmon fillet with honey. Top with your chosen topping.

Season with salt, then add plenty of freshly ground black pepper. Sprinkle with lemon zest and garnish each salmon serving with two lemon wedges.
Evenly coat each salmon with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce and sprinkle with the poppy seed mixture.
Place the pesto sauce on top of the honey on the fillet and spread it carefully, without spilling the honey over the edge (here you need chilled pesto, 0.5 cups of basil pesto). - Preheat the grill or oven to 350-355°F (160-175°C). Place the fish on a sheet of foil or a baking sheet lined with nonstick foil on the center rack of the oven. Bake or grill to your desired doneness, 10-15 minutes for medium. Let the fish rest for 1-2 minutes and serve.
