Brush whole ears of corn with a smooth mixture of butter and barbecue sauce, then wrap them in foil and grill until tender. This simple side dish is ready to eat in just 15 minutes.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 4 ears of sugar corn (young corn with white or light yellow grains)
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 6 tbsp (90 g) butter at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (See barbecue sauce recipes here)
  • 1 tbsp ancho chili powder

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Prepare the spiced oil: In a food processor, combine butter with 1 clove of garlic, barbecue sauce and a tablespoon ground ancho chili pepper until smooth. You should have about 1 cup. Rub the corn with three-quarters of the seasoned oil and wrap in foil.
  2. To grill corn: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and cook the corn, turning frequently, until tender, 15 minutes. Once cooked, let cool, remove from the foil, and rub with the remaining seasoned oil. Season with salt.

    The dish can be served as side dish for turkey.
