This guacamole, in addition to ripe avocados, includes onion, garlic, fiery serrano peppers, fragrant fresh cilantro, olive oil, and freshly squeezed lime juice—an explosion of vibrant flavors you'll want to savor again and again. Mash the avocado with a fork until the paste is finely diced. Let it sit in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld, and then serve with chips for dipping, with meat, spread on bread, or as a topping for other Mexican appetizers. It's delicious and incredibly healthy.

- Coarse salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Halve the avocado and remove the pits. Using a tablespoon, scoop out the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork or potato masher to create a chunky paste. Add the remaining ingredients and toss. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, and toss again.
- Place a piece of plastic wrap on the surface of the guacamole to prevent it from browning and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
