This recipe unlocks the secret behind the restaurant chain's famous guacamole. ChipotleThe trick is that using equal parts freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice produces a rather bright and tart flavor. If you're feeling fancy, go all out and add a couple tablespoons of diced tomatoes.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped red onion
  • 1–2 tsp finely chopped seeded jalapeño

We recommend

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. In a bowl, mash the avocado, lemon juice, lime juice, and 1.5 teaspoons of salt until creamy. Add the cilantro, red onion, and jalapeño (see Note). Season with salt if needed.

    Note

Jalapeños come in varying degrees of spiciness. It's best to try a small piece and adjust accordingly.
  2. Guacamole can be made up to 2 hours before serving. Store in a tightly sealed container, covered with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until serving.
