3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

  • Half a head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 kg of potatoes, unpeeled

Bring a medium saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
  2. Mashed potatoes:

Place the potatoes in a medium saucepan, cover with cold water, and add 2 tablespoons of salt. Bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, until tender, about 45 minutes. Drain.

  3. Peel the potatoes and return them to the pan (optional, press them through a potato masher or vegetable grinder). Add the broccoli. Using a fork or potato masher, mash the potatoes with the broccoli, milk, and butter. Add the chopped chipotle peppers, 2 teaspoons of salt, and season with pepper to taste.
