This Asian barbecue sauce perfectly complements grilled salmon with its multifaceted flavor. To make it, combine fried onions and garlic, hoisin sauce, ketchup, honey, sambal oelek, soy sauce, fish sauce, and rice vinegar in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes. All these ingredients create a balanced Asian sauce that harmoniously combines sweetness, tartness, and a hint of heat. Brush the sauce over the fish while grilling and cook to medium for juicy and tender salmon.
