British meat pies

How to Make - British Meat Pies
Kitchen:English,European,
Time: 45 min.
Complexity: easily

These meat pies are made quickly using store-bought dough, raw sausages, and mashed potatoes (use up leftovers from last night's dinner!). Remove the sausage casings, and you'll have a meat base for the pies. Fry the minced meat with onions, celery, carrots, and mashed potatoes, and spoon the filling into dough circles. Before baking, brush the pies with a beaten egg for a golden brown, glossy finish. Serve as an appetizer or take on the go for a quick snack.

Recipe:

In a frying pan, fry 220 g of raw sausages (remove the casings) with 1/4 cup of chopped onion, adding 1 diced stalk of celery and carrot. Add 0.5 cups of mashed potatoes, salt and black pepper. Roll out a portion of the chilled dough for layered buns and cut out twelve circles with a diameter of 7.5 cm. Top with a spoonful of meat filling and fold in half; pinch the edges of the dough to seal, and brush the tops of the pies with beaten egg. Make slits in the tops and bake at 175°C until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
