Baked beans make your hot sandwiches even more filling and delicious. Use leftover baked beans from last night's dinner or canned beans. Pair them with sweet tomatoes and tangy, chewy cheddar on crispy toast for a whole new flavor. This snack will keep you fueled throughout the day.
Ingredients:
- 2 thick slices white sandwich bread, toasted
- 2 plum tomatoes, sliced into thick rounds
- 0.5 cups cooked baked beans, warmed
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1.5 cups grated sharp white cheddar (about 170 g)
- 2 green onions, chopped

- Preheat the oven to broil. Place the tomatoes on a baking sheet, season with salt and pepper, and broil until the edges are lightly browned, 5-10 minutes. Transfer the tomatoes to a plate. Step 2
- Place the toasted bread on a baking sheet and spread the baked beans evenly on top. Top with tomatoes and drizzle with Worcestershire sauce, then sprinkle with cheese and green onions. Grill until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, about 3 minutes.
