Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 205°C.

Sprinkle your work surface with sugar to prevent the dough from sticking. Roll each sheet of dough into a 20x20 cm square. Using a pizza wheel or a sharp knife, cut each sheet into 4 squares.

Prepare the pies: Lay the dough square out in front of you with one corner facing you. Place 1 piece of cream cheese diagonally across the center of the bottom half. Top with a piece of guava paste. Brush the edges of the square with beaten egg. Fold the top half of the square over the filling to form an even triangle.

Press the edges with a fork. Repeat the same steps for the remaining pies, placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet as they cook.
  • Step 2
  • Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown and puffy.

While the pies are baking, mix the powdered sugar with the milk and vanilla, stirring until all the lumps are dissolved.

Cool the pies on a wire rack for 10-15 minutes, then drizzle with glaze. Serve warm or at room temperature.
