Snowman Cupcake Cake

How to Make - Snowman Cupcake Cake
Time: 1 hour.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 23 cupcakes

This cheerful snowman-shaped dessert will be especially popular with kids. Treat them to a beautiful cake this Christmas or New Year's, perfect for one-cupcake-at-a-time consumption. The snowman is made from 23 vanilla cupcakes (store-bought is fine), and wafer cookie pieces will give it a round shape. Cover the cake with vanilla icing and decorate: use blue fondant for a scarf, black candies for eyes and buttons, and orange marshmallows for a nose.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place 14 cupcakes tightly on a platter or board, forming a circle for the body, and 7 cupcakes forming a circle for the head. Add 2 cupcakes for the scarf.
  • Step 2
  • Using a small serrated knife, cut 7 chocolate wafer cookies in half; spread frosting on the back and arrange around the edge of the cupcake circles as shown to create a rounded shape.
  • Step 3
  • Cut 6 more cookies into 4 pieces. Spread frosting on the back and fill the spaces between the cupcakes.
  • Step 4
  • Transfer the remaining frosting to a piping bag fitted with a 1 cm round tip. Pipe dots of varying sizes onto each cupcake to completely cover them. Use black candies for eyes and buttons, and marshmallows for a nose. Roll out the fondant to a thickness of 0.5 cm; cut into 2 strips for the scarf and fringe the ends. Attach to the snowman.
