Cranberry cocktails are perfect for the winter holidays. Not only will they brighten up your Christmas or New Year's party, but their crisp, tart flavor will also perfectly refresh your taste buds after a hearty holiday dinner. Geoffrey Zakarian has presented a selection of three of his most popular cranberry cocktails that are a must-try: the Cranberry Sparkler with Rosemary, the Cranberry Kir Royale, and the classic New York Cosmopolitan.


Ingredients:

  • 60 ml of gin
  • 20 ml cranberry juice
  • 15 ml. Crème de Cassis
  • 40 ml of vodka
  • 7 ml citrus vodka
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cranberry Sparkler with Rosemary


For one drink, combine 4 cranberries, 1 sprig of rosemary, and 20 ml of maple syrup in a shaker. Add 60 ml of gin and 20 ml each of cranberry juice and sweet vermouth. Add ice and shake vigorously, then strain into a chilled coupe glass. Top with champagne and garnish with rosemary.

Cranberry Kir Royale


For one drink, combine 30 ml of cranberry juice and 15 ml of Crème de Cassis in a tall glass. Add the cranberries and top with champagne.

Cosmopolitan


For one drink, combine 40 ml each of vodka and simple syrup, 20 ml of freshly squeezed lime juice, and 7 ml each of citrus vodka, orange liqueur, and cranberry juice in a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously, then strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with an orange zest twist.
