Baked turkey with vegetables - a detailed recipe.
Ingredients:
- Turkey 4.5 - 5.5 kg.
- Onion, cut into wedges
- Carrots, cut into strips
- Apples, cut into slices
- Greens (rosemary, parsley), chop
- Clarified butter
- Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:
- Step 1
- Preheat oven to 160 C. Dry the defrosted and gutted turkey with paper towels, then rub inside and out with salt and pepper. Step 2
- Stuff the turkey with chopped vegetables and herbs, then place breast-side up in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter. Cover with foil and place in the bottom of the oven for 2 hours (if the turkey is larger, add an additional 15 minutes per pound of turkey weight). Step 3
- Remove the foil, drizzle with plenty of melted butter and increase the oven temperature to 220 C. Bake the turkey until golden brown.
