Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 - 1.5 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 lime, cut into pieces
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 350g medium-sized sea shrimp, peeled, heads and dark veins removed, meat cut in half lengthwise
  • 400 g of shredded vegetables (red cabbage and carrots)
  • 1 mango, peeled and cut into strips
  • 1/2 small red onion, cut into half rings
  • Coarse salt
  • 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil
  • 12 tacos
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Prepare the sauce: In a food processor, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, lime juice, sugar, 1/4 cup cilantro, and 1 tablespoon water. Process until smooth. Place the shrimp in a bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons of the sauce. Let sit.
  • Step 2
  • Coarsely chop the remaining cilantro. Stir in the cabbage, carrots, mango, red onion, and remaining sauce. Season with salt to taste.
  • Step 3
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and fry, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes. Then transfer the shrimp to a serving dish.
  • Step 4
  • Fry the taco shells in a dry skillet on both sides until golden brown. Fill the tacos with shrimp and coleslaw. Serve the tacos with lime and plenty of hot sauce.
