A few cinnamon dates add a sweet note to the ptitim and cauliflower, perfectly complementing its savory flavor. Drizzle the finished side dish with red wine vinegar and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. It pairs perfectly with grilled meats like lamb or chicken.

Recipe:


Boil 1.5 cups of ptitim according to package directions. Drain, rinse under cold water, and toss with olive oil. Sauté 3 cups of cauliflower florets and 1 chopped shallot in olive oil for 6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add a pinch of cinnamon and 1/4 cup of chopped dates; saute for another 2 minutes. Toss with the ptitim, add a splash of red wine vinegar, some chopped parsley, and salt and black pepper to taste.
