Black-Eyed Susan Cocktail

How to Make a Black-Eyed Susan
Kitchen:American,

The Black-Eyed Susan is the official drink of the Preakness horse race in Baltimore, Maryland. The cocktail was created in 1973 and named after rudbeckia flower (Black-Eyed Susan), which is used to decorate the blanket of a winning horse. The cocktail is made with orange juice, sour mix (a mixture of lemon juice and syrup), bourbon, peach schnapps, and vodka. Although true bourbon connoisseurs consider this drink too sweet, racegoers adore it. The cocktail has a pleasantly fruity flavor, is easy to drink, and is perfect for Sunday brunch.
