"My friend Yolanda loves a good cocktail, so I created this drink especially for her," says Cardea Brown. "It was inspired by a cocktail she often likes to order when we go out together. It combines amaretto, honey whiskey, and pineapple."


Ingredients:

  • 180 ml. (6 tbsp) pineapple juice
  • 30–60 ml (2 tbsp to 1/4 cup) honey whiskey, such as Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Whiskey
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) amaretto, such as Disaronno
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • A little pineapple soda
  • 1 orange slice for garnish
  • 1 pineapple wedge for garnish
  • 1 maraschino cherry for garnish
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine pineapple juice, whiskey, amaretto, lemon juice, and soda water in a shaker with ice. Shake.
  • Step 2
  • Strain into a glass with ice and garnish with an orange wedge, a pineapple wedge and a cherry.
