  • 225 g warm boiled potatoes in their skins
  • 225 g peeled raw potatoes
  • 225 g (1.5 heaped cups) premium wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp sifted baking powder
  • 225-300 ml (1-1.5 cups) sour milk or natural yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter for frying
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.

    Step 1
  • Peel the boiled potatoes while they're hot, place them in a bowl, and mash immediately. Grate the raw potatoes, add them to the mashed potatoes, add the flour and baking powder. Mix well and add as much sour milkto make a thick dough.
