Ingredients:

  • 1 cup long grain rice (Jasmine, Basmati)
  • 2 cups fresh coconut water
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and a little more to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour coconut water into a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add rice, butter, salt, and ground pepper to taste. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Step 2
  • Reduce heat to low, stir rice, cover and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.

    Remove from heat and let stand, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork; season with salt and pepper to taste.
