If you love those famous warm cinnamon rolls but the thought of yeast and dough daunts you, use ready-made chilled white bread dough. It's perfect, and the texture will be just like the bakery-style ones. All you need to do is roll out the dough, spread a filling of butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon, shape the rolls, and bake. The beauty of homemade cinnamon rolls is that you can drizzle them with as much delicious glaze as you like. Make it by mixing butter, cream cheese, and sugar together. It's a delicious, quick, and hassle-free treat.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Lightly grease 2 20cm round cake tins with butter.
  • Step 2
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle measuring 37 x 18 cm. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread softened butter over the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough. Starting at the long edge, roll the dough into a log. Press the seam to seal.
  • Step 3
  • Cut the roll into 16 slices and arrange them in the prepared pans. Place in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Step 4
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Quickly invert the pan onto a wire rack and remove it from the buns. If there's any filling left in the pans, spoon it onto the buns. Let the buns cool slightly, about 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Meanwhile, prepare the glaze. In a medium bowl, beat the butter, sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla with a mixer until fluffy. Spread the glaze over the buns. Serve warm.
