Beer-battered broccoli - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 4 cups small broccoli florets
  • 1 cup of beer
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Vegetable oil for deep-frying
  • Sour cream for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Prepare the batter: Mix flour and parsley with beer, add salt; let stand for about 1 hour.
  • Step 2
  • Heat vegetable oil to 190°C. Dip one florets at a time into the batter and fry each until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve with sour cream.
