Chicken stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon

How to Make - Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Stuffed with Cream Cheese
Time: 1 hour.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4

Chicken rolls in bacon.

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, when wrapped in bacon and baked, remain juicy and flavorful. Plus, a filling of soft cheese, onion, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce adds an even more vibrant flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, weighing 170-220 g each.
  • 12 slices bacon (thin)
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 0.5 small onion, chopped
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 170 g of cream cheese at room temperature
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
  • 1.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 200°C.

Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring, until golden brown, about 6 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Remove from heat and add the cream cheese, green onions, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly; season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
  • Cut each chicken breast in half horizontally, leaving one side uncut, so it opens like a book. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then divide the filling between the layers, spreading it evenly on the inside of each. Close the chicken breasts and lightly sprinkle the outside with salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
  • Place 3 strips of bacon next to each other on a cutting board, with the chicken breast crosswise next to them, smooth side up. Curl the thin "tail" of the chicken breast down to ensure even cooking, then wrap the breast in bacon. Prepare the remaining bacon strips and breasts in the same manner.
  • Step 4
  • Place a rack on a rimmed baking sheet and transfer the chicken breasts, seam-side down, to the rack. Bake for about 35 minutes, until the chicken is almost cooked through and a meat thermometer inserted into the center of the breast registers 160°F (70°C). Preheat the broiler to high and broil the breasts until the bacon is golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes. Serve hot.
