Olive oil with garlic and lemon - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 12 whole cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 pinches red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place the garlic in a small saucepan with olive oil and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Using a vegetable peeler, remove large strips of zest from a whole lemon and add it to the garlic oil.
  • Step 3
  • Add red pepper flakes and salt and let the oil sit at room temperature until the flavors have been absorbed. Store the oil in the refrigerator.
    Exit: 2 tbsp.
