Cranberry dipping sauce - detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 500 g frozen cranberries
  • 2 cups of orange juice
  • 3 cups ginger ale
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 orange, zest
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine all ingredients in a non-reactive saucepan (stainless steel) and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30-45 minutes, or until the liquid is reduced by half.
  • Step 2
  • Puree thoroughly with an immersion blender or a stand blender until smooth. Adjust the flavor and serve the sauce in small ramekins (small, ovenproof ceramic dishes used for preparing and serving individual dishes).
