Christmas Reindeer Brownies

How to Make Christmas Reindeer Brownies
Kitchen:American,
Time: 2 hours 50 minutes
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 16 pcs.

Bake chocolate brownies in round cake pans, cut them into eight triangles, and use a small assortment of sweets to transform them into fun Christmas reindeer. Candy canes will become the reindeer's antlers, marshmallows will be the eyes, round cookies and M&M's will be the noses, and gummy candies will be the ears. Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease the bottom and sides of two 20cm round cake pans with butter. Cut two 20cm circles out of parchment paper and line the bottoms of the pans with them.
  • Step 2
  • In a medium bowl, combine the butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until fully combined. Stir in 1 cup of regular-sized chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared pans, smoothing the surface. Bake until a crust begins to form around the edges, the edges pull away from the pans, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 35-40 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Meanwhile, cut half the gummies in half lengthwise. Using your fingers, shape each half into a teardrop shape to create the reindeer's ears. Melt 2 tablespoons of the remaining regular-sized chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 20 seconds.
  • Step 4
  • Using a drop of melted chocolate, glue red jelly beans to each vanilla wafer cookie to make noses.
  • Step 5
  • Cut each mini marshmallow in half crosswise. Insert one mini chocolate chip, pointed end first, into the flat, cut side of each marshmallow to make eyes.
  • Step 6
  • As soon as you remove the brownies from the oven, immediately sprinkle them evenly with half of the remaining regular-sized chocolate chips (7 tablespoons per brownie) and let them sit until the chips melt, about 5 minutes. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly over the tops of the brownies.
  • Step 7
  • Cool the brownies completely in the pans on wire racks for about 1 hour. Cut each circle into 8 equal triangles. Use an offset spatula or cake spatula to release the triangles from the pan.
  • Step 8
  • Assembly: Place the brownie triangles so that their longest, sharpest corner is facing you, and gently press a cookie onto that point of the triangle to create a nose. To make the horns, use the tip of a knife or wooden skewer to poke two small holes in the top of each brownie, about 1 cm from the corners, and insert a candy cane into each hole.
  • Step 9
  • To make the ears, press a piece of gummy candy into each corner under the candy cane horns.
  • Step 10
  • Press marshmallow eyes into the center of each brownie, opposite each other.
