Greet your guests with a delicious appetizer of hot, flavorful cheese dip topped with a light salad of sliced ​​fresh tomatoes and green onions in olive oil—a perfect treat for a house party or as a pre-dinner treat. In addition to goat cheese, the dip also includes cream cheese and Parmesan for the perfect creamy texture and rich flavor. Serve the dip straight from the oven, surrounded by toasted baguette slices. You can dip it or spread it on bread.


Ingredients:

  • 1 block (280 g) goat cheese, at room temperature
  • 110 g of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 tbsp. grated parmesan
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for greasing the pan
  • 8 small cocktail tomatoes (about 280 g), quartered
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • Toasted baguette slices, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Combine goat cheese, cream cheese, Parmesan, and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a food processor, season with pepper, and process until smooth. Grease a 1-quart (1-liter) baking dish with olive oil, then spread the cheese mixture out, spreading it slightly closer to the sides than the center. Bake until golden brown and heated through, about 15 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the tomatoes, green onions, vinegar, garlic, the remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spoon the tomato mixture over the cheese sauce. Serve with baguette slices.
