The Margarita cocktail is familiar to everyone. Even if you've never tried it, its name has likely not escaped your notice. This is hardly surprising, as the drink is considered a Modern Classic on the list of official cocktails of the International Bartenders Association (IBA). Its origins date back to between 1936 and 1948. There are many variations, each with its own unique Margarita. With this recipe, you can enjoy a well-known drink with a slightly exotic twist.


Ingredients:


Mango mix
  • 600 g fresh mangoes
  • 1 cup of water
  • 0.5 cups of sugar
  • Gray salt

Cocktail
  • 3 cups of ice
  • 1.5 cups mango mixture
  • 120 ml tequila
  • 60 ml. triple sec orange liqueur
  • Lime wedges
  • Peppermint salt, recipe included
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Margarita cocktail:


    Peel the mangoes, remove the seeds, and chop them into large pieces. Place the mangoes in a blender, pour in the water, add the sugar, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the sugar to taste.
  • Step 2
  • Place ice in a blender and add the mango mix, tequila, and triple sec. Blend until smooth. Rub the rim of the margarita glass with a lime wedge and dip it in mint salt to coat the rim. Fill the glass with the cocktail and enjoy!
  • Step 3
  • Peppermint salt:


    • 1 cup mint leaves
    • 1 cup gray or coarse sea salt

    Wash and dry the mint, then chop coarsely. Combine equal parts salt and mint in a mortar and pestle.
