Orange and blackcurrant liqueurs give this Italian grappa-based cocktail its crisp, vibrant flavor. An intriguing combination that leaves a pleasant fruity aftertaste. The drink is quite strong, moderately sweet and tart. You can adjust its sweetness to suit your taste by adding more or less sugar syrup.


Ingredients:

  • 15 ml Cointreau or other orange liqueur
  • 45 ml grappa
  • 7 ml of Creme de Cassis blackcurrant liqueur
  • 15 ml freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon
  • A little sugar syrup
  • Ice
  • Orange zest for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Fill a tall glass or highball glass with ice. Pour the cocktail over the top. Zest the orange to create a swirl. Rub the rim of the glass, twist, and place in the glass to garnish.
