Wake up on your day off and cook a soft-yolk fried egg in a golden-brown pan of toast. A delicious fried egg in a pan is the perfect 5-minute breakfast!

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice of your favorite bread
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and ground black pepper
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Using a biscuit cutter or glass, cut a hole in the center of a piece of bread.
  • Step 2
  • Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat and melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, add a slice of bread and crack an egg directly into the center of the hole.
  • Step 3
  • Cook until the egg is set on the bottom, 30-45 seconds. Season the egg with salt and pepper. After about a minute, flip the bread with the fried egg with a spatula and season the other side with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
  • Move the bread around the pan to absorb the melted butter. The egg yolk should still be soft at the end of cooking.
