Turmeric is one of the most beneficial spices. It has anti-inflammatory properties, adds a pleasant flavor to dishes, and imparts a beautiful golden hue. The easiest way to incorporate turmeric into your diet is to make scrambled eggs! This recipe works with both fresh turmeric root and dried turmeric powder.


Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp grated peeled fresh turmeric (or 1 tsp ground)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Beat 3 eggs with 1 tablespoon of water, season with salt and pepper. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  • Step 2
  • Add 1 tablespoon of grated, peeled fresh turmeric and cook, stirring, for 15–30 seconds. Add the eggs, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook, stirring, for about 3 minutes. Sprinkle the eggs with chopped green onions, parsley, and dill.
