Watermelons instead of heart medication

Watermelons instead of heart medication

A juicy and delicious watermelon, in addition to its pleasant taste, has a number of health benefits. This recent discovery was made by Florida professor Arturo Figueroa. The Florida State University scientist concluded that for those who are extremely overweight, frequent consumption of watermelon can significantly improve their overall health.

The common watermelon contains highly beneficial substances within its pulp that lower high blood pressure. This beneficial effect reduces the strain on the aorta and heart muscle, thereby reducing the risk of heart attack. Watermelon is especially recommended during the colder seasons, as it is during these cooler months that the heart is forced to work harder.

The professor makes a compelling case, attributing the healing properties of watermelon to the presence of the amino acids L-citrulline and L-arginine. For maximum benefits, watermelon should be consumed at room temperature, as this is where all its beneficial properties are revealed. Arturo Figueroa strongly advises against consuming cold watermelon, as this will have the opposite side effect of increasing cardiac strain.
