Tzatziki is perhaps one of the lightest and healthiest sauces you can eat without worrying about extra calories. Natural yogurt, cucumber, fresh herbs, and lemon juice combine to create an incredibly delicious and refreshing appetizer perfect for summer. Arrange vegetables (radishes, carrot sticks, cucumbers, asparagus, etc.) around the tzatziki, dip, and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1.5 cups Iranian cucumber, finely diced (about 4 pcs.)
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 1 lemon)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill + extra for garnish
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, cucumber, lemon juice, dill, garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Refrigerate, covered, for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
