Acorn squash slices are rolled in breadcrumbs with Parmesan, sage, and spices and baked in the oven until golden and crisp. It's a great way to turn pumpkin into a party appetizer that everyone will love.


Ingredients:

  • 1 small acorn squash
  • 0.5 cups Parmesan
  • 8 sage leaves
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Mix 2 crushed cloves of garlic, 8 chopped sage leaves, zest of 1 lemon, 0.5 cup of grated Parmesan, 3 tbsp. breadcrumbs and olive oil, a little salt and red pepper flakes. Roll thin slices of acorn squash in the mixture.
  • Step 2
  • Bake in a single layer on a baking sheet at 230°C for 15-20 minutes.
